# Lijinet (ልጅነት)

> Lijinet is an Ethiopian children's educational media brand that creates safe, Amharic-first digital learning for children ages 3–12. Its slogan is "Nurturing Bright Minds, One Story at a Time" (ብሩህ አዕምሮን መቅረጽ). Lijinet was founded in 2010 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and operates under Summer PLC.

Lijinet began by organizing in-person interactive games for children in Addis Ababa neighborhood communities. Seeing the lack of high-quality Ethiopian digital media for children, it expanded into digital animation and storytelling. Its videos are published on YouTube as @etLijinet.
